PS5 Launching With “Best Line-up” Ever Seen, Says Sony
With the Holiday season shambling ever closer, both Microsoft and Sony still have plenty of details left to reveal regarding the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5, respectively. For Sony’s part, the company has recently revealed that it’s feeling particularly good about the initial library of available games for the PS5, touting it as the “best line-up” the company has seen in the history of PlayStation.
This particularly spicy flex comes to us by way of a recent interview between GamesIndustry.biz and Sony Interactive Entertainment SVP Eric Lempel, wherein the latter hinted that there’s more to the upcoming PS5 line-up than what’s been previously revealed. “It’s about the content,” Lempel said in regards to what players can expect from the PS5 launch. “The content that will be in the launch window and beyond is incredibly exciting.”
I would say that this is the best line-up that we’ve ever seen in the history of PlayStation, between our Worldwide Studios groups and our partners from all the different publishers around the world.”
Eric Lempel’s statement doesn’t seem like an exaggeration, though on the flip side of this Sony will need to reveal a significant number of high-quality titles in order for his wording to hold merit. Sony certainly has an excellent foundation set up, and as long as some of those recent rumors regarding timed exclusivity titles are true we could be looking at an easy first-year win for the PlayStation company.
