PlayStation Plus Free Games For March 2021 Includes Final Fantasy VII Remake
The end of February is approaching, which means it is time to learn which games will be free next month for subscribers of various gaming services. Xbox fans already got the information they were looking for, and while PlayStation players were hoping to see something during the recent State of Play, that was not the case. However, the free games for PlayStation Plus members in March 2021 have been revealed, and it’s going to be a good month.
Previous leaks were true as the official list of PlayStation Plus games puts it right at the top: You’ve heard about it for ages, seen it all over the place, and got quite a few details about it during the State of Play. That’s right – Final Fantasy VII Remake is on the list! As one of 2020’s biggest games, it is good to see this added to the service, offering even more players an opportunity to enjoy the experience. Of course, it is important to note that this will be the PS4 version of the game and those who claim it for their library through the subscription service will not be able to upgrade to the PS5 digital version.
Naturally, the fun doesn’t stop there as there are three more titles that will be included for March 2021. Popular survival action shooter Remnant: From the Ashes will also be available for free through PlayStation Plus. In addition to this, PS VR users will be getting a treat with Farpoint, a shooter that gives players the chance to “master an arsenal of weapons” to remain alive on an alien world. It is fully playable with a DualShock controller, but is optimized for the PS VR Aim controller.

To round out the PlayStation Plus list of free games for March 2021 is Maquette, which will be making its PlayStation 5 debut. This beautiful puzzler will surely provide players with an intriguing experience as it places them in a world unlike our own. “Solutions to puzzles require you to twist the world recursively – manipulating the landscape of a diorama will see those changes mirrored in the life-sized version that surrounds you,” reads the description. “If you get perplexed by a puzzle, you can call up PS5’s Game Help for helpful hints to solve Maquette’s tougher conundrums.”
Of course, with new games inbound, the old ones must take their leave. Come March 1st, Control: Ultimate Edition and Concrete Genie will no longer be available for free. However, Destruction AllStars will remain on the service until April 5th, after which it will cost money to obtain.
And there you have it – the PlayStation Plus free games for March 2021. All four titles will be hitting the service on Tuesday, March 2nd and will be available for free until Monday, April 5th.
