PlayStation 5 Game Reveal Event Has Been Postponed

It looks like gamers are going to have to wait a bit longer for more news regarding the PlayStation 5. The upcoming PS5 game reveal event originally slated to take place later this week would have finally given PlayStation fans something more to be excited about other than the DualSense controller, with Sony Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan stating that the event aims to be as exciting as E3. Unfortunately, it looks like it’ll be a while longer before we can see it for ourselves, as Sony has officially delayed the PlayStation 5 game reveal event.

Sony recently took to Twitter to announce that the company has postponed the PlayStation 5 game reveal event originally scheduled for June 4. According to Sony, while it does recognize that gamers are pumped to see what titles are coming to the PS5, the timing unfortunately isn’t right given ongoing world events. Here’s the full tweet:

While there are understandably some gamers upset that new PS5 news is once again being delayed, the majority of the tweet’s replies understand that now simply isn’t the time for this kind of news given what’s been going on in the world. Thankfully, the event is certainly still on its way, just at a later date. It’ll make the event all the sweeter when it finally arrives.

The PlayStation 5 is slated to release in Holiday 2020.
