Overwatch’s Halloween Terror 2017 Announced – Arriving Next Week (VIDEO)
The rumor that popped up last week about the marketing material for Overwatch‘s upcoming Halloween event turns out to be completely true. Blizzard announced today that Halloween Terror 2017 is a go and it is just around the corner with new skins! Here’s what they tweeted to alert the fans of the glorious inbound event:
The nights grow cold
And monsters appear
A great evil gathers
And Halloween draws near… pic.twitter.com/98CXWqQ0gc— Overwatch (@PlayOverwatch) October 3, 2017
As can be seen in the video above, at least two new skins will be available during Halloween Terror 2017. Of course, far more than these two are sure to be up for grabs, but it is only McCree and Reaper that we see in a sweet slow-motion panning shot. Frozen in time, the two appear to have a Van Helsing and Phantom of the Opera vibe going on.
Outside of the two assault characters that are present in the short video, Dr. Junkenstein makes his return with that signature maniacal laugh. It is then that the event name is displayed along with the launch date. The recent report has been confirmed as Halloween Terror 2017 is set to go live on October 10. Overwatch events typically run for about three weeks, so there will be plenty of time for players to get their hands on all of the spooky loot that will be available.
