Brand New Preacher Season 2 Teaser Brings on the Action (VIDEO)
The Preacher television series based on the hit comic spent many years in development until Seth Rogen came on board to help finally bring the series to life. While season 1 strayed from the comics somewhat, it helped achieve what seemed like an impossible task of bringing Custer into live action. The first was fairly well received by audiences and critics that understood the changes from the source material and season 2 looks like it may well continue the trend. A new Preacher season 2 teaser, which can be viewed below, has been released that gives a look at the further action to come.

AMC has released the new Preacher season 2 teaser on their YouTube channel and it shows Dominic Cooper returning as the titular Preacher, Jesse Custer. Also returning are Joseph Gilgun as Custer’s vampire best friend Cassidy and Ruth Negga as Tulip O’Hare. The clip also seems to hint at the appearance of The Saint of Killers, an antagonist well known to readers of the original comic series. We also see more of the heroes in action in Preacher’s classic car.
The first season made some significant changes to the origin story of the comics to allow for the logistics of making the series in live action. Now that the show has had a whole season to establish its own version of the Preacher universe and characters, more fans will be able to jump on board and appreciate the craft of this adaptation. What do you guys think about the teaser? What aspects of the comics do you hope to see? Let us know in the comments below!
