New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Reboot In The Works

Vegan Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a classic series that most, if not all, kids born in the 80s and early 90s know. It has seen several movies in its legacy including animated and live action ones with the most recent premieres from 2014 and 2016. Despite the recent release for said films, Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures production company will be at the helm of yet another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.

In partnership with Nickelodeon Animation Studio, the upcoming reboot will be an adaptation based on the comic book created by Kevin Eastman-Peter Laird. It’ll be a CG-animated film rather than the live-action style like Out of the Shadows. Rogen, Even Goldberg, and James Weaver will lead production. Jeff Rowe will be in the director’s chair while Brendan O’Brien will be in charge of screenplay and writing. Additionally, Paramount will handle the movie’s global distribution.

Is it too soon to bring another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie to the big screen? President of Kids & Family for ViacomCBS, Brian Robbins, doesn’t think so. In fact, he believes the production team will bring another twist to the franchise that’ll take it to the next level in execution and comedy.

“Adding Seth, Evan and James’ genius to the humor and action that’s already an integral part of TMNT is going to make this a next-level reinvention of the property,” Robbins told Deadline. “I’m looking forward to see what they do, and I know that Ramsey Naito and her team are excited to take the Nick Animation Studio into another great direction with their first-ever CG-animated theatrical.”
