New Pokemon Snap Update Adds More Pokemon And Locations (VIDEO)

The Pokemon franchise is having quite the year so far, as it should, considering that this is the 25th anniversary of the franchise. The series celebrated the milestone with a digital Post Malone Pokemon-themed concert event and a resurgence in popularity for Pokemon cards sold at McDonalds and Target stores for now infamous reasons. The big Pokemon game release this year so far has been New Pokemon Snap, the long-awaited follow-up to the beloved Nintendo 64 photography game. Now, Nintendo has unveiled the fresh New Pokemon Snap content that brings new locations and Pokemon species to the game.

The Pokemon Company has released a new trailer showing off the New Pokemon Snap content update on their official YouTube channel. The main focus of the update is the three new locations that players can explore to photos of more Pokemon. The first of these locations is the Secret Side Path on Florio Island that shrinks the player down and makes certain Pokemon appear to be larger than normal by comparison. The second new location is the Mightywide River on Belusylva Island that features a variety of Pokemon along the river and in it as well.

The third new location added with the New Pokemon Snap content is the Barren Badlands on Voluca Island. This desert area contains unique features like geysers and poisonous swamps. The update also promises the addition of twenty new Pokemon species for the game, of which classic Pokemon like Psyduck, Snorlax and Gyrados will be included. The new update is set to be available for download for free for all players next Tuesday, August 3rd. New Pokemon Snap has provided some much needed fun for Pokemon fans this year, and this new content update will surely keep the photography as snappy as a Totodile’s mouth.
