Fantasian Part 2 Is 'Almost Done' And Will Be Double The Size Of The First Game

Fantasian Part 1 released earlier this year on Apple Arcade alongside 31 new games, providing a much-needed boost to the platform’s entertainment value. The title has thus far been well-received, though fans have been clamoring to get their hands on the second and final part of the game. Now, it’s been revealed that Fantasian Part 2 is nearly complete, and will be double the size of Part 1.

In a recent statement to Famitsu, Fantasian game director Hironobu Sakaguchi provided fans with an update on the second part of the game. “The second part of Fantasian is almost finished,” Sakaguchi said (H/T VGC for the translation). “This part is twice as large as the first part, which exceeded our expectations.”

While fans are naturally looking to find out what’s next, Fantasian Part 2 will also bring with it a few new goodies on top of the continuation of the story. According to Sakaguchi, the increase in size will also bring with it “unique and challenging” boss monsters. Further along in the statement, Sakaguchi thanks the development team as well as Nobuo Uematsu, who has contributed to Fantasian’s sound design. “I’d like to thank all the development staff, the diorama makers, and all the sound staff including Mr. Uematsu,” Sakaguchi said. “They gave it their all. I think it’s a great game!”

Fantasian Part 2 will likely be releasing later this year on Apple Arcade.
