New Ghost Recon Breakpoint Trailer Showcases The Auroa Archipelago (VIDEO)
A majority of the Ghost Recon franchise has been centered around locations that are set within the real world such as Russia, Bolivia, and more. The upcoming Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, however, is aiming to shake things up by introducing a completely fictional archipelago called Auroa that will feature a vast array of terrain including jungles, snowy mountain peaks, and even a massive active volcano. With a world being equally as massive as the prequel Ghost Recon Wildlands there’s sure to be plenty for players to discover.
A new trailer for the game has arrived giving fans a nice detailed look at the Auroa Archipelago in all its glory. The video also sees the developers talk about the unique fictional locale and how it leans towards a more science fiction type of setting. The new region of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint may be fictional but it is set within the real world and the developers explain that a lot of work has been done to balance the fantasy and realism of the archipelago.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is set to arrive on October 9th of this year for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It will be interesting to see just how the differing terrain will affect the players’ ability to stealthily operate. What environment are you most excited to see in the upcoming title?
