New Def Jam Game Possibly Being Teased
A lot of returning franchises that have popped back up for current-generation devices tend to be remakes of classic games, like Destroy All Humans. One collection that gamers have wanted to see is the Def Jam series of fighting games, and now it seems like the record company might be hinting at a new Def Jam game being in the works.
Def Jam Recordings recently shared a tweet on their official Twitter account which contained a screenshot from Def Jam: Vendetta and the description “The streets saying we need a new Def Jam game.” This tweet seemed to get a lot of passionate fan response, which led to another tweet from the official Def Jam account saying “Once our twitter hits 1M, we have a special announcement for y’all!”
Once our twitter hits 1M, we have a special announcement for y’all ! ?

When that tweet was released, the Def Jam Twitter account was roughly 20,000 followers away from a million. As of the time of this writing, their Twitter account has surpassed one million followers, but Def Jam has yet to make the special announcement that was promised. Many are hoping that the announcement could be a new title in the series, but others believe it may just be a port of one of the classic Def Jam games to modern consoles. EA has expressed interest in reviving and porting their older library of games, and hopefully they do so with Def Jam. I personally just want to see a new Def Jam fighting game where Logic and 2 Chainz throw down.
