Netflix’s Top 10 Most Popular Shows Of 2019 Revealed, Includes The Witcher
Netflix’s The Witcher series launched earlier this month finally bringing the brooding white-haired Henry Cavill and company to adoring fans. While there are a few things viewers have taken issue with, the show has for the most part seen incredibly positives reviews. So many people have watched the show that it has made its way to Netflix’s Top 10 of 2019 in multiple categories.
Not only did the Witcher make it to the Top 10 releases of the entire year, but it also made it to the Top 10 of series released this year as well. The only series that managed to rise above the show was the third season of Stranger Things with Umbrella Academy following just behind The Witcher. While the release of the show was a major plus late in the year for Netflix, it also served quite well for the video game series based on the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski as well with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt seeing an incredible jump in popularity following the show’s release.

The ending of Netflix’s The Witcher series ended on quite a wonderful scene, a perfect ending while leaving itself open for future seasons to come. Unfortunately, the show won’t be seeing a continuation for a while with the second season of the show estimated to arrive sometime in 2021, though no official release date has been announced as of yet.
Not much is currently known about the second season, though perhaps Vesemir, a well-known character from the series, will be making his debut in season two.
