With less than a month away from its Netflix debut, the anticipation for The Witcher grows dire as one of the most highly talked about premieres this season. Rather than the popular video game adaptation by CD Projekt Red, the show takes inspiration from the books written by Andrzej Sapkowski and it’s going to be dark. The team behind the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher have been teasing posters and hints about the show’s direction. At least within the first season, the show will maintain a strong spotlight on the franchise’s beloved ladies, Yennefer and Ciri. Despite some uncertainty and criticism from fans, The Witcher has already received the green light for a second season before the first one has even debuted. That’s phenomenal news for fans and we can’t see what the Lauren S. Hissrich has in store when it goes live on December 20th.
