WATCH: Monster Hunter World PC Release Window Revealed In Latest Developer Update
Monster Hunter World is complete and ready to be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Friday, January 26th, 2018. Console players are likely rubbing their hands together in excitement and glee as they prepare for the next in line of the Monster Hunter franchise. With modern technology so advanced in graphics and resolution, console owners will have no trouble enjoying the game for what it’s worth. Though a Monster Hunter World PC release is imminent, there has yet to be an official date announced until now.
With the most recent developer update from Capcom, there’s exciting news to be had, but it may not be the kind most are expecting. According to producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, a Monster Hunter World PC release window has been determined, aiming for an Autumn 2018 release window. Unfortunately, that’s toward the end of the year and a good 9 or so months away.

There’s always the possibility of a popular franchise like this making it to the Nintendo Switch, the probability has yet to be determined. No word on that front was revealed by Capcom or related stakeholders, but there’s no denying that it would be a phenomenal experience. Granted, in order to port a game such as MHW, it will likely take even more work than what is being done for Monster Hunter World PC.
On the brighter side of news, Tsujimoto mentions that there will be free updates to Monster Hunter World after its launch on Friday, January 26th. That means new monsters and brand new content to look forward to, likely to appear beginning in February into the subsequent months.
What do you think of this development for Monster Hunter World PC? Do you think it’s far too late into the year, or is this to be expected from the franchise?
