Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Release Date Revealed (VIDEO)

Sony had plenty to reveal during today’s State of Play stream, including new gameplay footage of both the Final Fantasy VII and MediEvil remakes. The very first thing on the stream’s menu was the reveal trailer for the massive new expansion of Capcom’s Monster Hunter World. Titled Iceborne, the new expansion will take players to new environments, where they will be (of course) up against brand new monsters. Thankfully, players can also look forward to new moves and weapons to help them conquer these new challenges. Check out the trailer below:

The Iceborne expansion was originally announced by the folks at Capcom late last year, where it was revealed that Iceborne will act as paid DLC, meaning there will be a seamless transition between Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. According to Capcom, fans can look forward to a new quest rank, monsters, locales, moves, and equipment, as well as a brand new story that takes place after the events of the base game.

So, what’s new in today’s reveal? Today brought about the official release date for the expansion, revealed as September 6, 2019. There is currently no word on pricing for the expansion, though we should learn more as we approach the DLC’s Fall release date.

Monster Hunter World is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
