Mega Man X Legacy Collections 1 And 2 Arriving This Summer (VIDEO)

The Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 finally have an official release date which was revealed with an all-new announcement trailer. Set to arrive this Summer, the entire library of the series games will be available at the palm of your hands and they’ll be available on all major platforms. They will include the full soundtrack from each of the games and sees the evolution of X as he journeys from a “B-class novice Maverick Hunter to an S-Class pro”. Set in the year 21XX, Mega Man X builds on the groundwork of the original Mega Man games while taking a slightly darker and more serious approach to storytelling in a future world filled with Reploids, human-like androids with independent thought and free will, and Mavericks, Reploids that have turned against society to cause harm and destruction.

While retaining the unique abilities of his predecessor to claim the weapons of his defeated opponents, X has a number of new capabilities, including the ability to slide down or jump off of walls, and equip powerful new armor pieces to augment his abilities.”

Both Mega Man X Legacy Collections include graphical improvements, which can be enjoyed in its original resolution or played on a bigger screen! The first includes Mega Man X, X2, X3, and X4 while the second features the last four including X5, X6, X7, and finally X8. Additionally, “The Day of Σ” will be included in both as well, a video that was included with Maverick Hunter X that “explores the origins of series antagonist Sigma and the rise of Mavericks”.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will launch on July 24th, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. For a physical bundle of both titles together, the retail price will begin at $39.99. Meanwhile, a digital purchase of each title will begin at $19.99.
