Fortnite Portable Fort-Sprouting Grenades Coming Soon

Fortnite Portable Fort-Sprouting Grenades Coming Soon

Epic Games has never been one to sit idly by and let the Fortnite Battle Royale meta go stale. The developer is always adding new and exciting things that shake up the gameplay and make players think twice about the world around them. In that same line of thinking, Epic Games will soon be implementing Fortnite portable fort-sprouting grenades, called Port-a-Forts.

Teased in the ‘Coming Soon’ screen that pops up whenever the game’s Battle Royale mode is launched, Port-a-Forts are grenades that pop out, you guessed it, forts, when the grenade explodes. Often times players will get caught out in the open without any cover; the Fortnite portable fort grenades will help give these players a fighting chance, though it is still unknown how exactly these things work and how elaborate the forts will be, if at all. Epic Games has yet to provide its fan base with a release date for the Port-a-Forts, though typically new updates surface after maintenance concludes on Thursdays.

In other Fortnite news, a possible ‘Gun Game’ mode may be on its way to Battle Royale as a limited time mode. The iconic Counter Strike mode where players duke it out and earn better weapons with each kill would be a welcome addition to Fortnite, at least for a short while, and a Fortnite dev confirmed that they were looking into a “progressive weapon load out LTM” and that Gun Game would certainly fill that quota.

Fortnite is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
