Grab those energy tanks and get ready to get lost in a world of nostalgia this summer. Capcom has confirmed Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will be available for console and PC and players will be able to enjoy throwbacks to Mega Man 7, 8, 9, and 10 all in one game. Capcom had this to say about the upcoming collection:

This collection spans the evolution–and retro revolution–of the classic side-scrolling series.”

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will enjoy an upgrade to 32 bits while keeping with its aesthetic. The collection will include new challenges, giving players more ways to enjoy their favorite games. On top of that, players can enjoy bonus content that includes is sure to bring players back to the good old days.

New features to the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will include extra armor which will cut damage taken in half. Also among the features are checkpoint saves making it easier to get through levels. The idea with these features is to make it easier for new players to get into the series (not all of us were shaped by the impossibility of the NES). As can be seen in the video above, the Challenge Mode will change up stages and compete with others in an online leaderboard. Another part of the bonus content will be the return of the Museum loaded with art, development materials, a music player, and more! Players will be able to enjoy the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 on August 8th. The game will be available at retail locations and digital download for $20 and will be making an appearance at E3 this year!
