Mega Man 11 Announced For Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, And PC! (VIDEO)
There hasn’t been a main series Mega Man game in quite a while. The closest gamers have had in recent times was the Blue Bomber’s appearance in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U where he featured among Nintendo’s mightiest mascots. Fans of the action platforming series were also in for a treat when Legacy Collection 2 was announced, introducing past adventures to modern day platforms. With the 30th anniversary arriving in 2017, a new Mega Man game looks to finally be upon us.
Streamed at today’s #MegaMan30 livestream, publisher Capcom announced Mega Man 11, an all new entry in the franchise scheduled to arrive in late 2018. From the looks of the corresponding trailer, the new title will utilize a 2.5D perspective, while also staying true to the 2D run-and-gun gameplay and cartoonish style that made the series household name. Check out the the reveal trailer below.
The stunning footage is exciting to say the least, but unfortunately for fans, Mega Man 11‘s release is nearly a year away. On the upside, the anticipated game’s “late 2018” arrival will be coming to all current platforms, including the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and yes, also the Nintendo Switch! More information is expected as the 2018 release date draws closer.
