The Launch Nintendo DOOM Trailer Promises Pure Brutality (VIDEO)

Bethesda has released the Nintendo DOOM trailer to make good on the Nintendo Direct promise back in September that the game would be coming soon to the Switch. The launch trailer features gameplay on the handheld and docked mode of the console that is tightly packed with action. Check it out in the video below:

The Nintendo DOOM trailer comes with the release of Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and its own release for the Switch, marking a new wave of violently good games being ported to the console. Developers at Panic Button and id Software worked hard to get the port as close as possible to other versions, despite it being a custom build for the console.

The Nintendo DOOM trailer features clips from the entire single-player campaign. Players will also be able to play arcade mode and multiplayer mode, although those maps are available as separate downloads. While it may be exciting that the game has arrived on the Switch some feel it suffers from a drop in frame rate and a decrease in graphics.

Ultimately, that the Switch is getting more popular titles ported over is exciting news for fans itching to get their hands on games only available on other consoles. The Nintendo DOOM trailer is one of many games making their way over to the family friendly hybrid console, which continues to mark Nintendo’s attempt to stay competitive. DOOM is now available on the Nintendo Switch, and can also be played on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

How has the porting of more popular titles over to the Nintendo Switch helped it grow in popularity, or is the console struggling to compete with other companies? Join in on the conversation in the comment section below!
