The Marvel Cinematic Universe just got even bigger. Earlier this year, we learned about Marvel’s plans to adapt a television series based on the superhero team the New Warriors. Since then, everyone has been wondering who would and could bring the roles to life. Now, as revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, the main cast for Marvel’s New Warriors TV series has been announced including the lead roles of Mister Immortal and the popular Squirrel Girl.

According to the publication, the coveted role of Squirrel Girl has gone to This Is Us actress Milana Vayntrub while the male lead of Mister Immortal will be portrayed by Baby Daddy‘s Derek Theler. Other members of the New Warriors TV series were given actors as well with Jeremy Tardy suiting up as Night Thrasher, Calum Worthy as the force field-spewing Speedball, Matthew Moy playing germ-whisperer Microbe, and Kate Corner as the telekinetic Debrii. In the interview with THR, showrunner Kevin Biegel expressed his enthusiasm for the show’s premiere:

I am thrilled beyond belief to be working with this incredible group of actors. They are funny, sincere, eager, charming and perfectly embody these characters. It’ll be a blast and an honor to create this show with each of them.”
