Mark Hamill Wants To Play Vesemir In The Witcher Netflix Series And Everyone Is On Board

With the pilot episode for the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher out of the way, people are starting to get serious about the casting pick for the show. Despite not having a clue as to what The Witcher is all about, Star Wars star Mark Hamill is already on board. Following a thread of Twitter posts published by writer Lauren S. Hissrich, fans have tagged the one and only Star Wars star Mark Hamill as a candidate as Vesemir. Yes, the actor who famously portrays Luke Skywalker – the legend and icon. As a matter of fact, he’s all for it.

With that being said, Hamill’s response to playing the role of Vesemir was said partly in jest, but would he really agree to an idea without a thought? We think not. In fact, the official Witcher Twitter account added their two-cents and it’s in the form of a hilariously photoshopped image of Mark Hamill’s face on Vesemir’s body. Here’s how it all happened:

Who would be more suiting for the role of a “fatherly, wise, sprightly, ancient, historian and keeper-of-secrets” Vesemir than the one and only Mark Hamill? Needless to say, everyone is on board and that includes the folks here at DFTG. In response to the recommended casting pick for The Witcher‘s Vesemir, plenty of fans have gathered on social media to express their undying concurrence! That’s hundred of re-tweets and likes to show support!

Can you imagine a better actor to play as Geralt’s wise fatherly figure?
