Super Seducer PS4 Port Called Off, “We Need to Hide This Game Under a Rock and Starve It”
It looks like Sony has decided it would be best not to bring Super Seducer to the PlayStation 4. With the release date having been set for March 7, the game was ready to drop on the console to confuse just about everyone. The mixture of real-time video and dating simulation is meant to help players work on their “game.” While the simulator did make its debut on Steam, the Super Seducer PS4 port just isn’t happening.
Sony recently confirmed with Motherboard that the Super Seducer PS4 port would not be seeing the light of day. To this, “renowned seduction guru” and game creator Richard La Ruina replied, “My comment is that I have no comment on this.” Of course, the decision by Sony isn’t entirely surprising. Since the title’s reveal, many have called its content into question. Executive director of anti-harassment nonprofit Hollaback! Emily May said:
When we give mainstream access to sexism, we allow it to proliferate and grow. We need to hide this game under a rock and starve it—and the whole PUA culture—of light and oxygen until it dies. PUA culture is what society tells men to be, and it starves men of options and different ways of being in the world.”
