‘Make Solo 2 Happen’ Fan Campaign Offers A New Hope For The Return Of Han Solo
When Solo: A Star Wars Story released back in 2018, it failed to live up to expectations in the box office and ultimately never became the commercial success it could have been. The film itself is an underappreciated gem, giving fans a look into the origins of one of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars franchise. Following Solo’s lackluster performance, it’s sure to be a hard sell getting Disney on board with making a series out of the Solo name. Solo screenwriter Jon Kasdan even stated back at the end of March that seeing a Solo 2 is highly unlikely at this point. Still, that isn’t stopping fans from trying to get their beloved Han Solo back to the big screen.
Fans have begun taking to social media with a campaign to #MakeSolo2Happen, in the hopes of seeing a sequel with the cast of the first film reprising their roles. The movie was filled with the roguish charm Han Solo is known for while also tying up loose ends and plot holes within the Star Wars franchise as a whole. With such a cliffhanger ending that the film had its understandable that fans would want to know where the story goes from there.
Like the Millennium Falcon itself, Solo has it where it counts. Spirited, charming, and with more than one trick up its sleeve, you should never count it out!

Artist Matt Ferguson, who created a couple official movie posters for the film, chimed in as well. Rather than a sequel movie however, the artist believes the character could do well as a Disney+ adventure TV series.
Solo came out 2 years ago. I really enjoyed it a lot. A great romp of a Star Wars film. I also got to make a couple of official posters for it on release. I’d love to see more adventures, perfect for a Disney+ adventure show. pic.twitter.com/L01TmjibZ6
