Majora’s Mask “Terrible Fate” Remix Album Gets The Vinyl Treatment

A few years ago, Ember Labs released an eerie and spine-tingling take on skull kid’s origin story called Majora’s Mask – Terrible Fate.. In addition to the impressive animation and narrative direction, the music and sound carried the atmosphere by taking the original songs and elevating the nostalgic experience to another level. The person behind that goes by the name of Theophany.

Theophany originally launched the Time’s End: Majora’s Mask remixed albums in 2012 with Materia Collective and now they’ve announced a vinyl edition of both. With pre-orders available now, Time’s End and Time’s End II are priced at $40 and $45 respectively and each comes with two 180g gold vinyl records with gold foil accents. It comes with a 16-page booklet of stills from Ember Lab’s short film “Terrible Fate” as well. Check out the announcement trailer below:

Once pre-orders are done, both Majora’s Mask remix albums are planned to ship out sometime in April 2020. It’s a long time to wait, but it’s worth the modern take on a beautiful soundtrack. For folks that don’t own a vinyl player, there are compact disc purchase options available as well for half the price. So, if you still want a physical edition of the tracks by Theophany, that’s an option as well.

Are you going to one or both vinyl editions of Theophany’s Majora’s Mask remixed albums? If you haven’t watched the short film yet, check it out here!
