The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword May Be Headed To Nintendo Switch
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as a hugely successful game, and was indeed a top selling point for the Nintendo Switch. With the game having been released almost two years ago now, many have been wondering what Nintendo plans on doing next with our sword wielding, pot smashing hero. Thanks to a recent Legend of Zelda concert performance, we know now that it may involve Skyward Sword.
The Nintendo Live event is currently taking place in Japan, and of course such an event also featured a special Legend of Zelda concert performance. During said performance, series director Eiji Aonuma took to the stage and said “I know what you’re waiting for — Skyward Sword for Switch. Right?” This was a bit out of the blue, but is it within the realm of possibility? Absolutely.
It seems Aonuma teased Skyward Sword for Switch at the Zelda concert in Osaka today. Multiple attendees are tweeting about it.

Given how hugely successful Breath of the Wild has been for the Switch, it almost seems like a no brainer to port Skyward Sword over to the Switch next, which originally released for the Nintendo Wii back in 2011. The title also just so happens to be the first Legend of Zelda game that utilized motion controls, which can absolutely be implemented in using the Switch.
It may have been a simple shoutout to a popular entry in the Legend of Zelda series, though if it happens, it’ll make a lot of fans very, very happy. We also know that a sequel to Breath of the Wild won’t be happening anytime soon, so Skyward Sword would be a nice break in the meantime. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see.
So, thoughts on Skyward Sword potentially being ported to the Switch? What other The Legend of Zelda game would you like to see ported to the Big N’s latest console?
