The Last of Us Part 2 Adds Westworld Actress to the Cast
During last year’s PlayStation Experience event, developer Naughty Dog surprised everyone when they announced a sequel to the emotional masterpiece The Last of Us. Outside a few other minor tidbits, not much else is known about the next adventure except the shift of main character status from Joel to Ellie. For this reason, fans of the original, including us here at DFTG, have been furiously tapping our foot waiting for any new developments with the uncompleted game. For now, everyone can happily rest their tired toes with the reveal of Westworld actress Shannon Woodward’s addition to The Last of Us Part 2‘s cast.
Woodward, who portrays Elsie, one of the few non-robot characters on the HBO series Westworld, unveiled the news on Twitter, where she seemed genuinely enthused to be part of The Last of Us Part 2. The accompanying photo shows the actress sporting a motion capture getup and posing all-smiles with the sequel’s director Neil Druckmann.
I am embarrassingly over-excited here because I'm peaking. @Neil_Druckmann is letting me act in The Last Of Us:Part II . ❤️ pic.twitter.com/XJUXxSlue7

It’s currently unknown who Woodward may be portraying in the upcoming Last of Us game, but since the franchise isn’t based on any previously made property, anybody’s guess is as good as ours. Perhaps we’ll be thrown a curveball and she’ll be announced to be the new voice of Joel. Whatever the case ends up being, you can read about it here on Don’t Feed the Gamers.
