WATCH: Pro Wrestler Kenny Omega Faces Chris Jericho In Destiny 2 Cosplay

Kenny Omega Destiny 2 Cosplay

New Japan Pro Wrestling recently held their annual Wrestle Kingdom event at the Tokyo Dome and promised to have one of the most exciting matches in recent memory: IWGP Champion Kenny Omega vs. WWE’s Chris Jericho. The match-up itself had tremendous hype surrounding it, but Omega added his own memorable spin to proceedings by arriving to the ring fully decked-out in Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris cosplay.

Omega made his appearance at the event emulating the look of Osiris, the titular character from Destiny 2‘s recent Curse of Osiris expansion. Not only does the athlete sport the armor of Osiris, but also brandishes a custom Vigilance Wing from the game, embossed with an “omega” symbol for good measure. The champion’s dramatic entrance is impressive to say the least, but the added visual of a well-known Destiny 2 character is sure to satisfy fans of both wrestling and the popular Bungie MMO.

Destiny 2‘s Curse of Osiris expansion launched early last month, introducing a brand-new story as well as a myriad of weapons and armor to the game. A follow-up comic titled Fall Of Osiris was release shortly thereafter, adding more context to the new adventure, but also presenting an emblem-awarding code for fans to decipher. Its expected that the next batch of expansions will take players to the Frigid Vale of Mars, if a recent store leak is to be believed. Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

What do you think? Does Kenny Omega pull off the look of Osiris, or should Chris Jericho put him on “The List” for such a poor attempt?
