Hyper Scape Battle Royale Game Officially Unveiled By Ubisoft (VIDEO)
The battle royale genre has been around for a few years now and everyone and their mother wants in on the competitive gaming crowd. Whether you’ve enjoyed Fortnite, Apex Legends, or the multitude of other offerings currently on the market, Ubisoft is dipping their feet into the waters with their very own. Following a premature leak earlier this week, Ubisoft has officially unveiled their battle royale game Hyper Scape and they’ve got quite a few interesting spins on the genre to make things interesting. Check out the gameplay overview below:
Hyper Scape is Ubisoft’s first-person battle royale experience, taking the typical time-limited winner takes all rules with a few twists of their own. Instead of simply looting and destroying buildings to build your arsenal of weapons and gear, players can find “hacks” around the map that grant “game-changing abilities” in movement enhancements, offensive, or defensive skills. In addition to a loadout allowance of two weapons, players can wield two hacks at once – all of which can be fused with copies to modify cooldown time, magazine size, and more.
If that wasn’t enough, death isn’t final in Hyper Scape. Once players are killed, they transform into ghosts and can assist teammates by acting as a scout. Once an enemy is taken out, a restore point will appear and ghosts can be revived and brought back into the battlefield. Additionally, there will be battle events to keep the map and pace fresh for all players. Sound pretty cool right? Hyper Scape is holding a tech test and interested players can register on their official website here.
