Halo Television Series Live-Action Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)
Television has especially been looking to the world of video games for pre-existing material and fanbases for adapting to big-budget series. The streaming services are betting big on these projects, with a live-action Fallout series in the works at Amazon and Arcane seeing great success on Netflix as a League of Legends adaptation. Paramount Plus has long had a live-action Halo series in production, but footage of Master Chief in live-action had only briefly been seen. Now, thankfully, Paramount has released a new live-action Halo television series trailer, and the world of the game looks oh so cool in live-action glory.
Paramount has released the first trailer for their upcoming Halo television series on their official Paramount Plus YouTube account, after having its premiere at The Game Awards 2021. Various planetary environments are seen as a voice ominously narrates. Much of the show’s main cast is revealed in quick close-up shots, including Natascha McElhone as Dr. Catherine Halsey, Yerin Ha as Kwan Ha, Shabana Azmi as Admiral Margaret Parangosky, and Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066. Jen Taylor has also been confirmed to return as the voice of Cortana the AI, just as she did for the games and Microsoft devices.
Quick shots show some squadrons of UNSC Marine Corps foot soldiers, including some in full-powered assault armor. There are also glimpses of Warthog vehicles and a fleet of large ships from the UNSC Marine Corps flying in formation. Finally, the infamous Master Chief himself, (played here by Pablo Schreiber) makes a powerful three-point landing. The Halo series logo is revealed as the iconic singing of the choir from the main Halo theme music is played. The Halo television series is set to premiere some time in 2022 exclusively on Paramount Plus, and hopefully, it respawns after this first season.
