Final Fantasy VII Remake Officially Announced For PC (VIDEO)

Since the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake, it has been widely presumed that the remake series would eventually find its way to other platforms after a period of PlayStation console exclusivity. This presumption has been proven valid, as while the game has yet to be announced for Xbox, it’s been revealed that the title is making its way to PC later this month.

During tonight’s The Game Awards 2021, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be releasing for PC on December 16th. Alas, the game is trading one form of exclusivity for another, as the announcement trailer reveals that the game will at least initially only be available via the Epic Games Store. The newly released trailer can be seen below:

It should be noted that the game coming to PC next week is Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, essentially the definitive version of the first part of the remake. This version includes the exclusive INTERmission content featuring Yuffie in her quest to infiltrate Midgar to find the ultimate materia. As for when the game might make its way to Xbox consoles, that remains to be seen. That said, with the title about to release on PC, chances are we’ll get an official announcement regarding a port for Xbox in the near future.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is slated to release on PC through the Epic Games Store on December 16, 2021.
