Halo: Reach PC Gameplay Revealed, Master Chief Collection Beta Coming Soon (VIDEO)

Halo: Reach

The Xbox version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection was released back in 2014 and though it saw some troubles at launch on its multiplayer side, it later grew into a well-rounded compilation of all the mainline Halo titles. The upcoming PC release of the title is set to bring with it the addition of the iconic Halo: Reach much to the excitement of fans. The developers at 343 Industries have decided to finally show off some gameplay of the title being played on the PC platform, and it certainly looks great.

343 Industries developers Eric Ferdinand, Max Szlagor, and Brian Jarrard recently sat down for a social dev stream to give fans a little insight into the upcoming addition of Halo: Reach to the Master Chief Collection. As the developers answer some fan questions Ferdinand plays through the 5th campaign mission of Reach: Tip of the Spear in all its glory.

A few of the questions from fans pertained to Halo: Reach’s iconic customization options such as pre-order armors and more. The developers explained that the armors that players could get from events or pre-ordering the game would be made available for the MCC version of the game and that there would also be some content that players could get from a seasonal event such as nameplates, or perhaps even titles.

There is no official release date for the addition of Halo: Reach in the MCC or the PC version of the compilation title but they are expected to arrive sometime later this year. A beta was supposed to arrive for members of the Halo Insider program back in April but this was delayed due to the complexity of the project and sadly no new date was given.

The dev stream did reveal however that players would finally get their chance to get a taste of the game sometime in June. The developers also mentioned that they would be bringing some content to this year’s E3, hinting that the upcoming Insiders beta would arrive after that event. The devs also mention that this wasn’t ideal and indicated that it’s highly likely that the two will occur fairly close to each other.
