Grand Theft Auto 6 Details Leaked
Some cinephiles determine the passing of time based on the premiere date of films, meanwhile gamers do so with the launch date of video game titles! It’s already been half a year since Rockstar launched Red Dead Redemption 2, the greatly anticipated sequel to the critically-acclaimed original, but it looks like Rockstar is rallying developers together for the next huge undertaking – Grand Theft Auto 6.
It took nearly 8 years for Rockstar Games to finally publish the Western-themed sequel and it did not disappoint, having won multiple awards at The Game Awards in 2018. More than likely, it won’t take nearly as long for Grand Theft Auto 6 to make its long-awaited debut. While its validity cannot be verified, a rumor began last month that claimed a 2020 release date for GTA 6.
It was further claimed that the sequel will host a variety of new locations to explore as well, including Vice City and Liberty City. From a separate and now deleted Pastebin post, it looks like Rockstar has their sights set on a highly-ambitious multiplayer mode that may very well out-do the current version. The leaker claims Grand Theft Auto 6 Online will feature multiple towns and an all-around astounding level of content, a fair portion of which is anticipated to arrive as post-launch updates.
In addition to a greater deal of content, the rumor states Rockstar will be working closely with Sony and Microsoft in cloud gaming software. This will supposedly offers a seamless shift between gameplay experiences, whether you’re on the go or relaxing at home. It also marks a shift away from discs and physical copies. Based on the surge in manufacturer and developer popularity, cloud gaming looks to be the “next big thing” within the industry. Microsoft announced Project xCloud last year, there’s even Hideo Kojima commentary, and other industry professionals are singing its tune for the next generation of gaming.
