Gears of War 4 Gearsmas holiday event has players geared up for its annual celebration! This year they’re laying out all the trappings for us with the latest holiday gifts. With new festive skins for weapons and characters, players can expect to deck the halls with their enemies in style this holiday season!

This Gearsmas brings some fun features and addons that players can receive through the purchase of packs for 400 credits, or $.99 on Xbox Live. The packs include one Bounty and two items from the 28 piece holiday collection. Though rare to find so far, there are also some fun skins available for the characters as well!

• 3 ‘Ugly Gearsmas Armor’ Characters – JD, Kait and Swarm Drone
• 4x Gingerbread Weapon Skins
• 4x Festive Tree Weapon Skins
• 4x Snowman Weapon Skins
• 4x JD Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins
• 4x Kait Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins
• 4x Swarm Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins
• 1 Commemorative Gearsmas Emblem

Something new to the Gearsmas holiday event celebration are two timed rewards that are unavailable in the standard packs. This daily reward system will be giving away gifts to players just for logging into into the game. Here is the short list of dates and items you can receive:

• December 16: Chuzzmas Emblem
• December 27: Ice Boomshot

No holiday event is complete without some new ways to play the game. This Gearsmas holiday event does not disappoint with their new Snowball Fight mode either. A custom Boomshot that launches snowballs will gib enemies just like the standard Boomshot, but with icy balls of death instead! This mode is a variation of standard TDM in Gears of War 4, giving players the Snowshot and two snowballs. In order to stay competitive players will need to collect snowballs as they go, just like a real snowball fight!

The event is also bringing everyone together for the holidays with the return of Crossplay Versus for Xbox One and Windows 10 players. The special event playlist allows players to game together on Social in up to 5 player squads. Both playlists will also feature a 1.5 XP for the duration of the Gearsmas holiday event!

As if your stockings weren’t stuffed enough, there is still more to come from Gears of War 4 as UIR will be joining the fight with their very own Gear Pack. On December 25th a new easter egg related to UIR will be available to find as well! Tons of fun and exciting things are around the corner for this years Gearsmas celebration!

The event runs until January 4th, 2017 which gives players plenty of time to get those ugly sweaters and gingerbread Lancers. If you don’t have the game, Gears of War 4 is having a 35% discounted sale on the digital version in the Xbox Marketplace! The sale ends December 28th, so act fast if you want to get in on the action!
