‘Game of Thrones Winter Is Coming’ Game Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)
In just a few weeks, Game of Thrones will be premiering the latest and last season of the massively popular series based on the hit George R. R. Martin novels. HBO has been pulling out all of the marketing stops to make this final season a special event that no one can be unaware of and miss. Brand deals with Oreo, Johnnie Walker and Major League Baseball have all brought the kingdom of Westeros to their products and events in the real world. Now, HBO has turned to gaming to promote the final season with the ‘Game of Thrones Winter Is Coming’ game.
HBO, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Yoozoo Games have worked together to release the Game of Thrones Winter is Coming browser game. Just ahead of the final season premiere, they have released a stunning CG Trailer on the official Game of Thrones Winter Is Coming YouTube channel. The trailer consists of extremely realistic CG animated versions of the surviving Game of Thrones characters, as seen during the events of season 7 of the show. With such detail, some might mistake this trailer for a live action trailer for the new season.
Game of Thrones Winter Is Coming is actually available now, although it is a browser game, and thus its graphics are not quite as realistic as this trailer would lead you to believe. The gameplay is closer to a strategy and resource management game, but this trailer would certainly convince anyone that the franchise is due for a quality action RPG. Still, for those looking to occupy themselves these next few weeks before the big premiere, this game will hopefully suffice. This is the great game after all, and the great game is terrifying.
