Magic The Gathering: War Of The Spark Trailer Reveals Planeswalker Set (VIDEO)

Magic Pro League’s Mythic Invitational is currently taking place from March 28th to the 31st, with 64 players competing for a prize pool of 1 million dollars. Throughout the duration of this weekend, Wizards of the Coast had another epic announcement for Magic The Gathering waiting to hype fans for an upcoming set launch. Revealing a new set for online and tabletop experiences, the team revealed War of the Spark with an equally chilling and heart-breaking trailer carried by a rendition of Linkin Park’s soundtrack “In The End.”

The official synopsis reads: “We have a fight to finish. Nicol Bolas controls Ravnica. With Liliana Vess under his devious contract, the dragon god’s army of Eternals run free and the guilds have descended into chaos. But Liliana is ready to take back control of her own destiny. Now only the combined power of the Planeswalkers stands between Bolas and the ultimate power he craves. War of the Spark features 36 Planeswalker cards and a story experience unlike anything Magic fans have played before. The multiverse is at stake. Will you join the fight?”

With War of the Spark, Magic the Gathering will see the release of 36 Planeswalker cards – powerful cards that can swiftly change the tide of a game. On the other hand, if the story itself entices you, fans can begin pre-ordering the novel by Greg Weisman titled “Ravnica: War of the Spark” right here.
