Free Destiny Webcomic Announced By Bungie Reveals The Secrets of Osiris
Fans of Destiny 2 are already immersed in the Curse of Osiris, with no signs of stopping anytime soon. The narrative, a tale of Ikora’s mentor, is the next story to drop for the series and fans already have questions on the origin of it all. Guardians won’t have to wait long for answers as Bungie has announced a Destiny webcomic that focuses on exactly those questions in “Destiny: Fall of Osiris”.
As if a Destiny webcomic wasn’t enough to get players excited, the comic will be completely free through Bungie.net. Bungie has pulled out all of the stops for Fall of Osiris, tapping some serious talent to tell their story. Writer Margaret Stohl had her own thoughts about the project in a notation that can be read below:
Destiny’s first-ever original comic short is written by Eisner-winning, New York Times bestselling writer Ryan North (Dinosaur Comics, Marvel’s The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl) in collaboration with our own super talented Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris narrative lead Christine Thompson, with interior art by Destiny community fan favorite Zé Carlos. Here’s a peek at the cover, by Marcio Takara (All-New Wolverine – As Seen Above).
Osiris was once the champion of the Last City. Vanguard Commander. Seeker of secrets and discoverer of wonders. And then everything changed. How did Osiris go from hero to traitor?”
While an official release date hasn’t been set, the Destiny webcomic is expected next week and would likely drop with the weekly Tuesday resets. Curse of Osiris, already telling a detailed story, does leave questions that will be interesting to discover the answers to in this new series. Discovering just what lead up to the Curse of Osiris is going to make the game that much more rewarding for fans who love the story!
