Fortnite: Battle Royale Dev Update Dives Into Competitive Play, E3, And More (VIDEO)

Fortnite

There is absolutely no escaping the powerhouse that Fortnite is these days. The popular Epic Games title is taking over the world, one Victory Royale at a time. That being said, the dev team recently provided a supply llama (in the form of a video) for fans looking to the future.

In the video posted to the game’s Twitter page, the recently added Solo Showdown Limited Time Mode is discussed. Many fans were pleased to see the arrival of this brief competitive event because it provides hope for the future of comp play in Fortnite. Smith then touches on the celebrity Pro-Am event that will be taking place at this year’s E3, saying we’ll be seeing “lots of familiar faces in the Fortnite community.”

Last, Smith talks about the competitive play that is coming to the game. Well, he doesn’t really go into detail about it, but he does say that they are excited to reveal how Epic plans to “support the community in online competition and physical events.” He says these details will arrive soon. Did somebody say E3? We can only hope.

In the meantime, the Solo Showdown is still going on, but there isn’t much time left. It will be ending on May 21st at 10am ET, so get in there for your chance at 50,000 V-Bucks. You can read more about the limited time mode right here, but keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops. For other gaming news going on right now, check out the following:
