Fallout: New Vegas Mod Adds Vehicles To The Wasteland (VIDEO)

Fallout: New Vegas

Throughout the Fallout franchise cars are seen strewn about the wastelands of the United States, though few if any are able to be used outside of being scrap for materials. With so many vehicles out there it’s surprising that fans have yet to see any working vehicles that they can take control of. Thankfully, some dedicated modders have taken it upon themselves to sate players’ need for speed with a new mod for Fallout: New Vegas called The Frontier.

A new trailer has arrived for the mod showing off some intriguing gameplay featuring vehicles that players can drive around and shoot from Mad Max style. The mod will also see players trading in the dusty landscape of Fallout: New Vegas for the pacific northwest as they travel to Portland, Oregon, which features a ton of unique and iconic landmarks, vehicle sections that include both land and air, and more well-crafted content. The developers have stated that Fallout: New Vegas- The Frontier will take place around the same time as the other DLC and will include three new story-based quest lines, over 50 fully voiced side quests, and new and improved graphics to go alongside the enhanced combat mechanics.

Of course there are some stipulations that fans will need to heed before trying out the mod for themselves. Firstly, players will need to own the base game as well as the four official DLC packs. They’ll also need 19 GB of space with some wiggle room for any future updates that arrive. Thankfully the mod is free, though fans looking to download the mod will need to start a fresh save file as to avoid any unnecessary conflicts.

Fallout: New Vegas’ The Frontier mod is set to arrive for PC players on January 15th. Let us know your thoughts on the Frontier mod for Fallout: New Vegas and more in the comments section below.
