Epic Games Store Adding Mod Support, Now In Beta Testing
Steam has been around for nearly 16 years now and quickly became a buzzing marketplace for gamers around the world. Though modding has been around for as long as most can remember, especially with the likes of Nexus Mods, it wasn’t until 2012 that Valve added official mod support to games with the launch of Steam Workshop. Despite launching in 2018, it wasn’t until recently that the Epic Games Store decided to join in on the fun.
Officially announcing on Twitter, Epic Games Store unveiled that they’ll be offering mod support! At this time, the team is only featuring modifications for Mech Warrior 5 as they’re just starting their beta testing phase. However, Epic Games Store supporters can expect plenty of other titles to be added to the list eventually. Check out the announcement below:

Modding is an important aspect of gaming nowadays especially for content creators. Making modifications easier and more accessible allows potential developers a hub to showcase their portfolio and potential as well.
