E3 2017 – Electronic Arts Plans and Details on EA Play Announced
Just like the events of last year, Electronic Arts will be hosting a pre-E3 event called “EA Play” to commence the festivities of that weekend. The event will include “over 140 hands-on gaming stations, demos, live music and more” in Player Fanfest and EA Game Changers Creators Cave where the creators get to capture, edit, and share content. Attendees will get a chance to play Star Wars Battlefront, Need for Speed, and a myriad of EA Sports titles as well (i.e. FIFA 18, Madden NFL 18, NBA Live 18). There will be live interviews with developers, broadcasts, behind-the-scene access, gameplay walkthroughs, and competitions before the main E3 show begins.
EA Play will begin at 12 PM (Pacific Time) / 3PM (Eastern Time) on Saturday, June 10th and will continue until Monday, June 12th. Instead of taking place in the Los Angeles Convention Center this time, it will be hosted at the Hollywood Palladium venue which is a decent drive away from the convention. It will be convenient for those who have cars to travel to and from destinations for a 20-30 minute commute. There will be a livestream of EA Play available for those who are unable to attend on EA.com. Details on EA’s E3 showcases have not been revealed yet.
Tickets for EA Play will go on sale April 20th, 2017 at 9 AM (Pacific Time).
In other E3 news, Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime and Xboss Phil Spencer have big plans for the conference this year. Many of the details are left a mystery, but there is more to be revealed in due time. To sate one’s curiosity in the meantime, Microsoft just revealed the tech specifications for Project Scorpio – check out the specs here!
So, gamers, which event will you be attending this year? Are both on the roster? Feel free to leave any thoughts or comments in the section below or begin a conversation on Don’t Feed the Gamers official Disqus channel, Facebook, or Twitter!
