Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance Xbox Game Pass

Wizards of the Coast’s upcoming D&D-inspired Dark Alliance game is announced is launching on Microsoft platforms in a big way. As confirmed in a recent Xbox Wire post, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is confirmed to be headed to Xbox Game Pass on day one of release, with the hack-and-slash RPG gracing consoles, PCs, and cloud-streaming versions of the green-branded game subscription service at the same time upon launch. As a bonus, the game will also support PC and console cross-play starting on the same date.

Set to arrive on June 22nd of this year, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance joins a growing number of high-profile releases bringing their wares to Microsoft on the same day as its debut, with People Can Fly’s Outriders and the PlayStation Studios-developed MLB The Show 21 recently hitting Xbox Game Pass at launch as well. Of course, that’s not to mention the growing availability of games across its platforms, with well over 100 titles to explore across PCs, Xbox consoles, and a growing selection of cloud-streaming devices.

As for the game itself, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is being touted as a modern successor to the Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance games of old, though, featuring a number of differences to establish as a standalone experience. In addition to bringing a new third-person perspective to the four-player dungeon-crawling fun, the new Dark Alliance also utilizes an old-school heavy metal aesthetic, a myriad of tense boss battles, as well as a fittingly punishing single-player mode.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance releases for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S on June 22nd.
