Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: FFVI's Locke Revealed As 2nd DLC Character (VIDEO)

Square Enix has finally revealed the identity of the 2nd DLC character that will be joining the roster of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. Announced via livestream, the newest addition is none other than Locke Cole, the thief – sorry, treasure hunter – from Final Fantasy VI. Check out the gameplay trailer below to see Locke in action:

As seen in the trailer, Locke is an extremely fast character, even faster than Zidane. Naturally, viewers are treated to him beating the crap out of Kefka, it just makes the most sense. In addition to his signature speediness, towards the end of the trailer we are treated to his signature move ‘Mirage Dive’. Locke is set to arrive on the arcade version of the game on May 17, and in late June for the PlayStation 4. He will feature three different alternate outfits, as well as four different weapon skins, which can be seen below:

Locke is preceded by the first DLC character, Vayne Solidor, from Final Fantasy XII. The third DLC character is anyone’s guess, though based on what Square Enix has said in the past it will be a female character from the latter half of the Final Fantasy series. Naturally that is a lot of characters to choose from, though personally I’m hoping for Beatrix from FFIX. That said, if we’re going by popularity then it will more than likely be Rinoa from FFVIII. There are only a limited amount of spaces available for upcoming DLC characters, though Square Enix has previously stated that they’d be willing to add more characters should there be enough demand for it.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is now available exclusively for PlayStation 4.

So, thoughts on Locke being the newly announced DLC character? Were you hoping for a different character from the older half of the series? Which character do you think will be announce next?
