Some Call it Fate, Others “Destiny” – How Two Game Developers Got Engaged Through the Bungie Shooter

Ok, so maybe the title is a little corny but how fitting is it that two game developers take their relationship to the next level with the help of what they love – gaming.

Bungie was all to happy to help this couple with a subtle little nudge in-game with the aid of a new emote and a fitting pair of custom items. So who is this happy couple? Train Jam’s Adriel “MsMinotaur” Wallic and Vlambeer’s Rami Ismail are finding their own destiny with a journey that began with a very sneaky letter located in the Tower’s Postmaster station.

With the help of a sweet letter appropriately titled “A Letter from Adriel” came a unique artifact called the “Ring of Eternity” which description labels “For Guardians who have found their perfect match”.

Just wait – there’s more. Not only do we have a special letter, and a unique ring to bring in the occasion, but we also have the perfect finishing touch. What better way to bring the full experience than a special emote that allowed her character to get down on one knee and declare her profession of love to the world?

Of course nothing goes quite without a hitch. Thanks to an attack that left parts of the internet inaccessible, this whole romantic proposal in gamer heaven almost didn’t happen. Naturally the adorable couple documented this moment as well:

And everyone lived happily ever after:
