Even More Details for Destiny 2’s Leviathan Raid Leaked

Leviathan Raid

Destiny 2 is out now and many players are already finding new easter eggs, fun socials spaces, and new hints as to what the future holds for the latest shooter. The most recent leak offers up some substantial details about the upcoming Leviathan raid. Due to the nature of the raid being endgame content, there are light spoilers ahead: tread with caution.

According to the leak, the “World Eater“, which many fans are finding a quest for, is not only a ship but a living being that players will be boarding and fighting in. At its start, the raid will begin on Earth where players will need to complete certain tasks before heading into the living ship. It’s not certain how much time will be spent on Earth, however it sounds similar to the King’s Fall raid of the first game, where players completed a small sequence on the Dreadnought before heading into the rest of the event.

Leviathan Raid

As the events progress, the raid  will task players to fight enemies in horde-based waves similar to the Prison of Elders or the Archon’s Forge again seen from Destiny 1. The biggest reveal of the leak  is that there will be a sequence which will see players running from an exploding portion of the Leviathan where they will have a chance to finally fly their ships, similar to the end sequences of multiple Halo games or the Boulder scene of Indiana Jones. Lastly, there will be an actual narrative, complete with cinematic cutscenes, that will flesh out the Leviathan Raid and its story.

Destiny 2 is available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with the Leviathan Raid releasing on September 13th. PC players will be able to get into the game on October 24th.
