Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Video Shows Off Eris Morn’s Return (VIDEO)

Destiny 2

The ever mysterious Hunter, Eris Morn played a major part in the first Destiny’s The Dark Below expansion, though the character was strangely absent upon the release of Destiny 2. Her story presented a lot of intrigue concerning the Hive, making them one of the more interesting beings within the franchise. While her absence has certainly been felt throughout the lifespan of Destiny 2, it seems that with the addition of the upcoming expansion Shadowkeep fans will be able to see her return once more.

A recent Developer Insight video has arrived to show just a little bit of the content that fans will run into as they return to the Earth’s moon. While the Guardians were focused on their struggle against the Red Legion, Eris Morn had gone to investigate the Hive stronghold. During her search it seems that she may have awoken a hidden darkness within the Moon, a “beast” as the developers call it that will potentially be the big bad of the expansion. What this creature could be is left unknown; perhaps another Worm God of the Hive hides beneath the rocky surface.

Fans will find the Moon to look and feel incredibly similar as the developers have essentially taken the location of the first game and remastered it, expanding on the original design with more lore and secrets to discover across a much larger area. Players will be able to explore areas that were previously locked behind closed doors thanks to Lost Sectors, making things feel more open and alive.

Destiny 2 is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. What are you most excited to see in the Shadowkeep expansion?
