After months of speculation and one hilarious teaser, we finally have the official trailer promising us hilarious and story-rich goodness for those excited for the release of Destiny 2 from Bungie. Fans of the predecessor will be excited to see returning characters such as Zavala and the always humorous Cayde as their dualistic styles merge for one seriously epic trailer. It’s time to “rally the troops” with equal parts funny one-liners and inspirational speeches! Check it out in the Destiny 2 official video below and see what we mean for yourself:

As previously notated when a leak hit earlier this week, the game will be releasing September 8th of this year alongside a livestream of gameplay on May 18th! Among the many aspects of the teaser trailer above, we know that the Last City is under attack and that old and new faces alike will join up to combat what threatens the world of Destiny. Also included in the video is the confirmation that PlayStation 4 players will be getting first dibs on select content, but ultimately everything will available across platforms.

“Humanity’s last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped the city’s Guardians of their power, and forced the survivors to flee. You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.”

And oh, we do mean all platforms. For the first time ever, PC players will be able to jump in on the Destiny hype train. The rumors have circulated for awhile now – some pointing to yes for a PC version, others suggesting otherwise. It’s good to see that the negative rumors have been finally laid to rest and the future of the franchise will be opened up to a platform known for its FPS prowess.
