Watch the Official Destiny 2 Launch Trailer Here – “The War is Over … And We’ve Lost” (VIDEO)

Take a look inside the long-awaited story for the sequel to Bungie’s Destiny. The Destiny 2 launch trailer has officially arrived and gives fans a look into the hostile war-ridden enviroment players will be facing. The menacing platform that the narrative arrives on shows off the battle both on the field, and of drive for survival. Though the trailer itself starts off on a hopeless note, there was definitely some comedic relief with our good ‘ol pal Cayde 6. Check out the latest video below:

When the first Destiny launched, the reception was less than positive. Many players felt it lacked the promised story, many claiming it to be monotonous and flat. Through expansions, the first title became a more welcome experience to a wider market and throughout the progression, Bungie listened. The previous beta period for Destiny 2 saw an overwhelming amount of positive feedback and the team behind the shooter assures fans that they won’t find a single thing “boring” about the next installment.

After the Guardian has been captured by the leader of the Cabal, Ghaul, the Tower is overrun and the defeat become palpable. Destiny 2 will follow that into the events following the capture to give players an experience of loss, defeat, resurrection, and fierce survival.

If for no other reason, check out the Destiny 2 launch trailer just to see Cayde holding a rooster for some reason while talking about getting a sandwhich. Because war makes people do crazy things sometimes. Destiny 2 will be releasing for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 6th, with the PC release slated for October 24th. The PC beta test, complete with changes outlined here, will begin on August 28th for those who pre-ordered, and August 29th for everyone else.
