Dead Rising 4 Trailer Released in Honor of Upcoming Steam Launch (VIDEO)
It’s been a couple months since Dead Rising 4 was released on Xbox One and PC, and Capcom continues to dole out new surprises for gamers everywhere. If you haven’t had a chance to pick up a copy for PC, or don’t own an Xbox One, Capcom has you covered! Released this week, Capcom launched an official Dead Rising 4 Trailer, to announce the release of the title on Steam next month! Check out the trailer below to see for yourself:
The trailer was released with a blog post from Capcom, and the video holds the feel of an over-the-top infomercial, complete with “realistic blood shaders” good enough to get the cops called on you. It also includes enhanced selfie action, because who doesn’t want to take a few photos with their favorite walking corpses? Steam’s March 14th release is only a few short weeks away, however, if you do plan on picking up the game for yourself, make sure you check out the specs below to ensure your PC is up to snuff to run this high-quality title.
Another perk that players have is if they choose to preorder the game through Steam, the title will automatically be 20% off the retail price. That means for first time gamers, you can get it for about $48 instead of the usual $60. If you’re the type of player that likes to have all their ducks in a row and enjoys preordering the season pass with their game, you can also do so through Steam, and save about 15% off both game and pass, for a total purchase of about $67. That’s quite a steal, and definitely worth it if you are a first timer to the Dead Rising universe. But hurry! The discounted prices only apply until the game’s release. If you decide to buy it after March 14th, the prices will go up, so make sure you get those preorders in!
There has been quite a lot of speculation, looking at this new Capcom zombie-slasher, and one of the biggest concerns the game has faced since its launch is some mixed reviews about game playability. If you’re a new gamer, this title is a terrific way to get to know Frank West, and new players have absolutely loved the title so far. If you’re a veteran Dead Rising fan, however, some complaints of the simplicity of the game’s function have been a major concern and somewhat off-putting, especially for those who grew to love the previous titles’ functionality. Luckily, Capcom has also voiced their intentions on taking a look at how bug patches can improve game play without costing the newbies their learning curve, so check back with us as we continue to report in on Dead Rising 4. At least, from what we can see of the Dead Rising 4 trailer, this game still holds a lot of heart just as we all know and love. So, at least there’s that.
