Death Stranding Adds Free Cyberpunk 2077 Content On PC (VIDEO)

Cyberpunk 2077 Death Stranding

While some fans may have been a bit dispirited by there being no new game announcements to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Kojima Productions, it would appear the studio has been working on something special for players. That would be because a new collaboration with the recently released Cyberpunk 2077 has officially been revealed and released for Death Stranding on PC.

A new trailer for Death Stranding’s free update was shared by the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account, showing off some of the items that are included with the content patch. There are cosmetic items such as Johnny Silverhand’s glasses and metal arm as well as V’s face implants. There is also a Reverse Trike skin themed after one in the CDPR game, new holograms, including a Trauma Team one that floats above structures, and some neat hacking abilities. Check it out for yourself in the video below:

Of course, the release of a Cyberpunk 2077 x Death Stranding collaboration isn’t the most surprising thing in the world. After all, Hideo Kojima makes a cameo in CDPR’s game and Kojima Productions is no stranger to collaborations, as we’ve seen in the past. To acquire the 2077-themed items in Death Stranding, players will need to take on new orders and go find the mysterious items in the world filled with BTs and MULEs. In order to start, just make sure you have the latest version of the game on PC and check your in-game mail.

Death Stranding is currently available on PC and PlayStation 4, with the free Cyberpunk 2077 content being exclusive to PC for the time being. Kojima Productions hinted at something being announced for console players in the future, but nothing official has been revealed.
