In July last year, Netflix and King Features Syndicate announced that the Fleischer-style video game Cuphead would receive a TV series adaptation. Produced by Netflix Animation alongside creators Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, a team of experienced animators are at the helm of its development. Take in the Inkwell Isles at its finest with rubber hose style animation, slapstick humor, and entertaining danger! Check out the first sneak peek below:

The Cuphead Show is “coming soon” to Netflix. This time around, players can enjoy Cuphead without the anxiety of challenging foes and gameplay mechanics.

Developed and published by Studio MDHR, the award-winning Cuphead is a platformer with an artistic direction that was inspired by 1930s-style cartoons. One of its selling points was the studio’s dedication in creating it with the same techniques recognized in that era – “hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.” Players can run as Cuphead or Mugman in single or co-op mode through various worlds, gain weapons, skills, and secrets to defeat difficult bosses. Despite it’s jolly atmosphere, it’s not nearly as easy to play.

If you’re up for the challenge, however, Cuphead is available on PC, Mac, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. If you’ve got a Tesla, you can rage in your car too! Let’s admit that Cuphead is a rage-inducing experience for many and it might be left better enjoyed as a TV show than a video game for people like that. It’s me – I’m that kind of people.
